Overview
We are seeking an experienced Applications Support Analyst to provide technical and functional support for a suite of mission-critical and SaaS applications used across our financial services operations. The role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on troubleshooting expertise, and experience supporting portfolio accounting, trade execution, analytics, CRM, compliance, and financial reporting systems.
This individual will act as a key liaison between business users, IT, and vendors, ensuring the stability, availability, and optimization of Tier 1 and Tier 2 applications that are essential to firmwide operations. The role will also play a key part in the firm’s O365 migration and cloud adoption initiatives , ensuring smooth transitions for users and secure integration with other business applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day production support for Tier 1 applications (APX, CRD, IHS Markit, BondEdge, Assette, Bloomberg) and Tier 2 applications (FactSet, Salesforce, Oracle G/L, Bloomberg Vault, StarCompliance).
- Support the firm’s O365 migration project , including Exchange Online, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD integration.
- Assist with user onboarding, data migration, mailbox moves, and permissions management during the O365 transition.
- Monitor system health, scheduled jobs, and automated reporting tools (e.g., JAMS Scheduler).
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate application and integration issues across portfolio accounting, trade execution, analytics, compliance, and CRM platforms.
- Partner with business teams (portfolio management, trading, compliance, accounting, client service) to understand requirements and deliver timely support.
- Coordinate with vendors (SS&C/Advent, Charles River, FactSet, Bloomberg, Salesforce, etc.) for issue resolution and system enhancements.
- Maintain user accounts, roles, entitlements, and ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
- Document processes, support playbooks, configurations, and user training guides.
- Participate in application upgrades, patches, migrations, and disaster recovery testing.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, and monitoring to enhance reliability and reduce manual effort.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in application support or business systems analysis , preferably in asset management or financial services.
- Hands-on experience with O365 migrations , including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure AD integration.
- Strong familiarity with Tier 1 systems (APX, CRD, IHS MarkIt, BondEdge, Assette, Bloomberg).
- Working knowledge of Tier 2 systems (FactSet, Salesforce, Oracle G/L, Bloomberg Vault, StarCompliance).
- Experience with SQL queries, reporting, and job schedulers (e.g., JAMS).
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and vendor coordination skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical teams and non-technical business users.
