SUMMARY/PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:

The Corporate Controller will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for overseeing financial and accounting operations. This includes managing POC (Percentage of Completion) accounting and government accounting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, and preparing financial statements and reports. The Corporate Controller will lead a team of direct reports, driving accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. This role demands strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity within a detailed manufacturing setting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include (but are NOT limited to) the following:

• Oversee accounting operations, including POC accounting and government accounting.
• Lead and supervise a team of 5+ direct reports, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations.
• Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and analysis to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the audit committee.
• Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for strategic decision-making.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to maintain financial stability.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
• Proven experience in POC accounting and government accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
• Ability to work full-time onsite at our Stockton, California location.
• Experience in a private company, multi-site, 500+ employees
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Advanced knowledge of financial software and ERP systems – Visibility a plus

• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in financial processes.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

• Workspace is indoors in a temperature controlled, generally quiet office building. There may be occasional sounds from equipment or work activity on the manufacturing production floor nearby.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and perform desk-based computer tasks
• There may be occasional lifting of under 25lbs.

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this open role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
