Charitable Activities Coordinator
Applied Optimization (AO) Job DescriptionJob Title: Charitable Activities Coordinator Reports to: Benefits Coordinator Department: AdminFLSA Status: Non-Exempt; Part-Time
Position Objective:
Assists with various aspects and workflows with attention to detail, due diligence, and accuracy for the charitable activities and business processes at Applied Optimization.
Essential Functions:
Conduct the development/implementation of activities/events for supporting community-based organizations
Research new ideas and ways that Applied Optimization can help the local community
Recruit, train, motivate, and support employees for different charity events
Track and report charitable engagements
Independently conduct the day-to-day operational management and implementation of all activities pertaining to fund development, fundraising, and employee volunteer management
Assist in organizing charity walks and functions to encourage employee involvement
Ensure accuracy and follow documentation procedures for all work
Maintain notebook of daily activities and provide weekly report of work
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge of/experience in event planning and/or volunteer coordination
Attention to detail and effective time and schedule management skills
Effective organizing, planning, and problem-solving skill
Ability to adapt within a small team to support evolving customer requirements
Ability to execute instructions and communication in written, oral, and diagram form
Demonstrated strong writing, fact-gathering, and analytical skills
High level of integrity and confidentiality
Basic computer and software skills including but not necessarily limited to Microsoft Office products (e.g., Outlook, Word, and Power Point)
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in the field of business administration, nonprofit studies, or related major with a superior academic record
Cumulative GPA (Grade Point Average) of 3.0 or higher
Citizenship/Security Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
