Role
The Vendor manager will manage our panel of appraisers, continue to source, and develop the appraiser panel network.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
· Engage vendor appraisers for assignments within AIR Compliance.
· Review prospective panel member applications.
· Coordinate and solve issues that arise during the appraiser onboarding process.
· Ensure all appraiser documents are current.
· Pipeline management and additional support to the CARE and Assigning teams.
· Develop a tier system for current panel members.
· Finding efficiencies within the current platform and for the support staff.
· Develop strong relationships with panel members.
· Contribute to escalated appraisal assignments on unique or complex properties.
· Effectively and accurately communicate association appraisal requirements and standards to panel appraiser members, internal staff, both verbally and in writing.
· Stay current on all state specific requirements regarding compliance as it pertains to panel management and AIR.
· Work closely with Compliance Department to assist with state level requirements.
· Identify markets to recruit appraisers.
Performance Measurements
Promotes the company organizational vision and mission.
Meets or exceeds negotiated service level agreements and expectations with clients.
Searches for ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining SLAs.
Develops staff to provide excellent interactions with all stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience Minimum of 5 years in Appraisal Management. Education A Bachelor's degree in business, or a related field is preferred. Managerial Responsibility Has supervisory/managerial responsibilities that are direct or through work/team leaders or assistants. Estimates personnel needs and assigns work to meet these needs. Supervises, coordinates and reviews the work of assigned staff with a subordinate group of employees. Recommends candidates for employment, conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff, and applies company policy. Interpersonal Skills The ability to motivate, influence or persuade others is a material or major part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position. Work frequently involves contacts requiring considerable discussion of problems, material presentations, and resolving issues impacting departments or divisions. Independent Judgment Specific, distinct departmental or functional policies, criteria, and goals guide independent judgment and decision-making. Significant discretion is required in the interpretation of policies, laws, and theories. Decisions can have significant impact on department operations. Problem solving and proactive thinking is required along with significant creativity and innovation.Other Skills The ability to identify potential issues or problems, find solutions, and quickly implement those solutions. Microsoft Office Suite. An understanding of Operations Management is extremely helpful.Physical Requirements Requires effective communication with customers and/or other employees using common telecommunications equipment and computer equipment. Must be able to read, examine, and organize documents. May require the ability to sit, stand, and walk around for extended periods of time. Work Environment Position will often be in a busy office environment. The ability to multitask and focus in this environment is essential.
