    Aptive is seeking a Junior Program Analyst supporting the Healthcare Environment and Facilities Programs in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA).

    This position is ideally suited for an early career consultant interested in gaining exposure to healthcare programs and projects in the Federal Government.

    The Junior Program Analyst will be involved in program planning, audits, and evaluations, impacting a variety of tasks areas. At a high level, these task areas include program analysis, strategic planning, integrated master scheduling, event planning, Congressional Affairs, metrics, and risk management. The Junior Program Analyst will develop presentations, perform research and analysis, responding to client requests, providing client meeting support and more. Excellent communication and time management skills, proficiency with MS Office suite, and the flexibility to work both independently and within a team environment will be critical to success. They will use critical and analytical thinking to help achieve goals, drive growth and measure success. Prior experience in areas such as data analytics, project management, process engineering, business analysis, or change management are strongly encouraged to apply.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS.

    • 2 – 4 years of relevant program support experience.
    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Availability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
    • Excellent interpersonal and outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

    JOB DUTIES.

    • Engage in research to measure, govern, and evaluate performance.
    • Conduct detailed analyses to draw conclusions and develop pertinent and insightful recommendations.
    • Provide administrative/technical support to HEFP staff in a variety of areas including meeting planning, data collection and tracking, program research etc.
    • Develop and distribute agendas and meeting materials. Attend meetings to record detailed minutes. Write and distribute minutes. Generate fiduciary reports, spreadsheets, and recommend changes.
    • Utilize critical and analytical thinking to assist in determining clients' project and program requirements.
    • Ensure clear communication, organization, and coordinate between multiple stakeholders.
    • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed.

    • Experience in managing communications, events, or policy efforts for a federal agency.
    • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues.
    • Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment. 
    • Demonstrated understanding of health engineering, intervention and postintervention topics, prevention, and oversight of safe Environment of Care.
    • Excellent ability to communicate (written and verbally) across most mediums and settings.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills. demonstrated capability to communicate thoughts, ideas, and solutions logically in any situation.

VHA Healthcare Environment and Facilities Programs is accountable for engineering management programs in the “Environment of Care” which has a ubiquitous presence throughout VHA, enabling and supporting virtually every aspect of patient care provided to Veterans.
