  • Responsibilities

    The Graphic Designer is a creative visual thinker with a strong background in art and design. The successful candidate should have a portfolio that demonstrates a versatile skillset, showcasing proficiency in design layout, typography, compositing, and color. The candidate should exhibit an intimate understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, and experience working within a multi-disciplinary collaborative team environment.

    They will assist in the developing the day-to-day agency creative efforts on behalf of the client's product and/or service on assigned accounts, typically working closely with other team members. In this role, the Graphic Designer ensures that the agency provides:

    •   Proper and innovative execution of work in all areas on schedule.

    •       Deliver a consistently superior creative product.

    •          Innovative visual solutions and experiences.

    This is an associate, full-time position is on-site in Alexandria, VA, though remote working arrangements may be possible.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS.

    • 5+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer
    • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, or a related Visual Arts field
    • Portfolio required.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

    JOB DUTIES.

    • Maintain brand standards and integrity in developed creative
    • Design and develop media in print and digital formats
    • Develop posters, flyers, data visualizations/infographics, advertisements, icons, logos, reports, and other ad-hoc creative
    • Liaise and communicate with stakeholders to and senior team members to review creative and gather feedback.
    • Provide support to both the creative and project team throughout the execution of campaigns and projects.
    • Offers input to creative meetings and shares ideas

    DESIRED SKILLS.

    • Experienced in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign,

    • XD, After Effects, Premiere knowledge is a plus.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.

    • Proficient in concepting and implementation of visual elements (layout, typography, and color theory)

    • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.

    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

    • Proven experience in managing small projects and meeting deadlines.

    • Understanding of accessibility testing, tools, and standards (Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act).
