    About The Role

    As an Aqua Service Technician in our Aqua Services department, you will play a key hands-on role in maintaining and improving a wide range of water features and systems for our clients. This hourly, full-time position focuses on the inspection, maintenance, repair, and optimization of ponds, decorative and functional water features, stormwater systems, and irrigation infrastructure. You will work outdoors in varying conditions, use specialized tools and equipment, and collaborate closely with team members to ensure systems are operating safely, efficiently, and in line with environmental and regulatory standards. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys fieldwork, problem-solving, and working with both mechanical systems and natural aquatic environments.

    What You'll Do

    • Inspect, maintain, and repair ponds, decorative water features, and stormwater systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
    • Install, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, aeration systems, and related mechanical components in a variety of aquatic environments.
    • Perform routine and diagnostic water quality testing, interpreting results and recommending corrective actions as needed.
    • Manage and control aquatic vegetation using approved methods, ensuring healthy, visually appealing, and functional water bodies.
    • Maintain and repair irrigation systems, including identifying leaks, clogs, and electrical or mechanical failures.
    • Replace and adjust irrigation components such as valves, heads, controllers, and lines to maintain optimal system performance.
    • Document work performed, including service reports, test results, and materials used, in accordance with company standards.
    • Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively in field settings.
    • Communicate with supervisors, team members, and occasionally clients regarding job status, site conditions, and recommended repairs.
    • Follow all company safety policies and environmental best practices while working in and around water bodies and mechanical systems.

    What Sets You Apart

    • Experience with water features, ponds, stormwater systems, or similar aquatic environments preferred, but not required
    • Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including lifting, bending, and navigating uneven or wet terrain.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and attention to detail are essential.
    • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and field equipment is important, along with the ability to follow safety instructions accurately.
    • Must be able to adhere to attendance and punctuality standards.
    • Spanish-speaking abilities are an advantage.
    • Candidates must be able to pass a drug screening.
    • For driving roles: a clean 3-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required, along with successful completion of a DOT medical exam.
