    HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST, INDIANAPOLIS, IN

    DESCRIPTION:

    Join a fast-paced, culture driven work environment with an expanding franchise company! The Human Resources Specialist will facilitate and maintain the process of recruiting, hiring, placing and orienting new employees for Aqua-Tots locations in Indianapolis, IN, Lexington and Louisville, KY and Dayton, OH. 

    OFFICE LOCATION:

    Located in the heart of Broad Ripple! Our small support office crew just moved into a trendy, new office in an original 1950’s Broad Ripple home. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and parks. Looking forward to working outside on our wrap around patio once the weather turns!  

    JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources related field

    • Some travel and weekends required, based on monthly school visits and new school openings

    DAILY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Primary administrator and subject expert of HR platform, Zenefits and JazzHR
    • Actively seeking and developing local relationships with high schools and universities for employee recruitment
    • Overseeing hiring process, which includes coordinating job posts, reviewing resumes,  performing reference checks, and conducting first interviews
    • Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating through company HR platform
    • Maintain electronic employee files, initiate drug and background screenings, and conduct routine file audits
    • Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees
    • Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed
    • Informing job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, working conditions, promotion opportunities, etc.
    • Conduct new employee on-site orientations to ensure team members gain an understanding of benefit plans, policies, and procedures
    • Attend recruiting events such as job and career fairs
    • Assist in writing, revising, and proofreading company policies & procedures and related documents as needed
