    AQUAFIN is a rapidly growing manufacturer of waterproofing, vapor proofing and concrete repair products.

    Our reputation within the industry for excellent customer service stems from a corporate focus of selling solutions, not products. We are looking for an entry level Quality Control Technical Support Assistant. The focus of the position will be to assist our lead Quality Control Technician in analyzing raw materials and testing finished products. Additionally, the right candidate will provide phone and email support from our Elkton, MD office. Our team members wear many hats, exposing them to a variety of challenges and requiring them to work in teams as well as independently with limited supervision.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist in conducting quality control testing on all products in a timely fashion coordinating with production.
    • Maintain laboratory equipment in proper working order and insure laboratory conditions are within standards.
    • Ensure all quality control testing is recorded on a daily basis while ensuring that all logs and files related to the quality control function are maintained.
    • Comply with safety regulations at all times and be responsible for housekeeping in the QC area of the two labs.
    • Interact with manufacturing, R & D, technical services, sales and marketing departments.
    • Answer technical questions pertaining to AQUAFIN products via phone, email (verbal and written reports), and relay detailed call information with the sales team to complete the communication loop.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Demonstrated ability and technical aptitude to learn AQUAFIN products and markets served.

    • Some knowledge of the concrete repair industry in addition to cementitious and epoxy materials in general.

    • A fundamental and practical knowledge of concrete, materials testing, and construction design is helpful.

    • Ability to communicate effectively by phone, letter, email, etc.

    • Ability to work well independently as well as with a team.

    • Positive attitude and willingness to do things beyond your actual job description.

    • Ability to work in a team environment with Tech & Customer Services, Sales, Marketing, Quality Control, R&D and Manufacturing.

    • College Prep preferred and applicant must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations involving ratios and percent’s in both English and Metric units. Applicant must be able to work in a laboratory and manufacturing environment with ever changing demands. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work alone with minimal supervision

    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.
