Position Overview:

The Aquarium Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the health and well-being of our aquatic creatures while delivering outstanding service to our customers. This position includes hands-on care of aquatic animals, aquarium system maintenance, and engaging with customers to share knowledge and inspire a love for aquatic life. This position requires a minimum commitment of 25 hrs a week.

Key Responsibilities:

Animal Care: Maintain and care for a variety of aquatic species, ensuring their health and well-being.

Aquarium Maintenance: Maintain display tanks and life support systems to ensure cleanliness and proper function.

Customer Interaction: Assist customers with aquarium setups, provide guidance on aquatic species, and answer questions.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Preference for students or graduates in Marine Biology, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.​

Passion for Aquatic Life: A genuine love for animals and science.​

Experience: Prior experience in aquarium maintenance or aquatic animal care (personal or professional) is required.​

Skills: Strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.​

Availability: Must be able to work weekends.​

Language Skills: Bilingual candidates are preferred.​

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods.​

Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on positive customer interactions.​

Attention to Detail: Ability to learn and strictly follow protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of the animals.​
