Aquent is recruiting for a BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST / JUNIOR PRODUCT MANAGER to work with our Fortune 500 FinTech client in Irvine, CA. This is a 6-18 month assignment that will start off remotely until restrictions are lifted - must be able to work onsite in Irvine once offices re-open. The ideal talent will have professional experience as a Business Analyst, BA, Business Systems Analyst or Jr. Product Manager. As the BSA, you will liason between the business and IT to test, support, problem-solve and create new functionalities on our client's website and product offerings. This role is a TRUE HYBRID role. 

_Financial services experience is  a plus. A desire to work in FinTech is a MUST! _

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•  Leads daily resolution of website defects by applying deep business knowledge of our websites features and functionality, validating reported defects, assessing business impacts, determining priority for resolution and keeping business stakeholders informed.
•  Documents requirements, defines scope & Objectives – formulates systems to parallel overall business strategy.
• Interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining.
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
•  Designs, develops, implements and maintains business solutions.
• Provides product owner support for implementation teams as needed
• Works with Product teams (including IT), sharing business and organizational knowledge to resolve issues.
• Works directly with clients and project and business leaders to identify analytical requirements.
• Uses Adobe Analytics to capture statistics on website usage to prioritize resolution of issues and help assess business impacts.
•  Identifies opportunities to improve processes or to create efficiencies.
• Responsible for ensuring the testing strategy and process is in alignment with industry best practices, staying abreast of all pertinent testing standards.

BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST (BA / PM) SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience translating requirements between business and IT
•  Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate across all organizational levels. (Experience in writing test scripts preferred)
• Good judgment in identifying issues and recommending solutions to others
• Demonstrates initiative by identifying issues and recommending solutions on complex and broad matters
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written skills
• Demonstrates ability to manage ambiguity and make quality decisions

ANALYTICAL

•  Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and analytical skills in areas of high complexity.
•  Demonstrates sound judgment in resolving matters of high complexity.
•  Demonstrates ability to collaborate and develop/maintain working relationships inside and outside the organization to enable effective completion of business objectives.
•  Demonstrates ability to lead and manage projects across multiple teams or groups.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of Excel and Adobe analytics and ability to apply it to work
• assignments (qTest and ServiceNow experience a plus but not necessary)
