Aquinas College invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor in Psychology.  This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure track position in the Department of Psychology & Counselor Education.   The appointment will begin in August 2018. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:  Teaching responsibilities likely include introductory and advanced research methods courses as well as cognitive psychology, sensation and perception, and courses within the candidate’s area of expertise.  The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester.  Opportunities for summer contracts to teach additional courses may also be available.  Related responsibilities include: maintaining office hours, advising and mentoring students, scholarly research (especially that which engages students in research experience), student outreach, and developing and maintaining competence with web assisted teaching technology.

Qualified candidates will have a Doctorate in Psychology with emphasis either in cognitive or experimental. Research interests in sensation and perception (broadly defined) preferred.  The successful candidate will have teaching experience and evidence of scholarship.
