    Araceli currently has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer Internship. In this role you will be a key member of our Product Design Staff. You must be a self-motivated team player, an effective communicator, and able to resolve complex design issues.

    Responsibilities:

    • Determine and implement appropriate tests to validate design
    • Develop product and tooling designs
    • Perform verification testing for new product introductions
    • Interact with suppliers to source mechanical parts
    • Product support (R&D to manufacturing)
    • Define design requirements and specifications in accordance with manufacturing and customer expectations and requirements
    • Collaborates with peer engineering teams, customers, vendors, application specialist, and manufacturing to complete product designs across all phases of the engineering development cycle
    • Support released products sustainability efforts through creating ECO’s to help improve manufacture workflow processes.

    Education and experience required:

    • Working to complete BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
    • At Junior or Senior Level within degree program
    • Experience using solid modeling tools (SolidWorks preferred)
    • Ability to work within a cross-functional environment, exhibiting excellent interpersonal and communication skill
    • Work independently or with lab techs on component, product, and custom designs testing/evaluation.
    • Emphasis on mechanical design in coursework.
    • Familiarity with hand tools, measuring tools, drill press, manual milling machines.
    • Ability to assemble mechanical systems following drawings and instructions.
    • Ability to become familiar and effectively use Araceli databases.
    • Assist engineering team in researching components and sourcing parts.
    • Comfortable with Microsoft Office.
