Retail Cashier Associate & Retail Warehouse Clerk

Description:

Both positions are for the Gift Shop at the United States Mint in Denver. Both positions should be customer-service oriented and outgoing. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task. Willingness to learn about coin collecting.

A successful candidate will have to pass a Federal Background check as well as a Drug Test. A successful candidate will average 30-33 hours per week September thru May and possibly a few additional hours in June thru August. Candidate should expect to work Monday thru Thursday (Monday thru Friday in the summer). Evenings and weekends are rare, but possible on occasion.

Cashier Position Summary: Cashiers sell a variety of souvenirs to guests. Cashiers are flexible, willing to help out wherever needed. This position requires individuals with a high attention to detail, accurate cashier skills, and a strong dedication to customer service along with a positive and friendly attitude.

Essential Cashier Functions: -Maintain a daily bank and be accountable for all transactions -Handle cash, traveler's checks and credit cards in a safe and accurate manner -Must be proficient in counting money and providing guests with change whenever needed -Ensure a clean and pleasant atmosphere of the work area at all times - dispose of trash and clean all areas -May be required to keep an inventory of stock - noting any out of stock items or possible shortages -Cash out point of sale system and complete closing accounts at the end of each day -Maintain positive attitude in high stress situations -At the end of the shift Cashiers must prepare for the next shift by cleaning designated areas and returning all food items to designated storage areas - making sure to cover and date all perishable items -May be cross trained to work in other areas -Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule -Develop a strong knowledge of all products offered in order to constantly up sell -Cashiers should be highly knowledgeable about the surrounding areas -Know and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies and energy -Report to work on time and in complete uniform -Other duties as assigned

Warehouse Clerk Position Summary: The Retail Clerk is responsible for the coordination of Gift Shop services at the lodges so that each location receives the correct product.

Warehouse Clerk Essential Functions:

-Responsible for receiving and properly tagging all incoming merchandise. -Responsible for moving incoming merchandise to retail office, storage area(s) and/or display floor. -Responsible for storing all incoming merchandise in assigned locations. -Responsible for maintaining inventory level within guidelines established by General Manager, Retail Buyer and Retail Manager. -Interacts with customer for possible merchandising opportunities. -Supervises unpacking and pricing of new merchandise. -Responsible for conducting periodic inventory count based on schedule established by controller and retail buyer. -Responsible for reconciliation of packing slips and invoices. -Full understanding of the point of sale system -Assists all guests in any possible way -Follows Aramark policies and procedures and safety policies. -Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Retail Buyer.
