  • Responsibilities

    The Assistant Director for Facilities & Operations is under the supervision of the Assistant AD for Operations & Facilities. The Assistant Director will help oversee all areas of Stetson University Athletic Department’s facilities and game operations, facility scheduling, game management, supervision of event staff and part-time staff.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

    • Supervision and oversight over Event Management for Stetson Athletics
    • Coordination and Event management for all Stetson sports including facility scheduling, game operations, visiting team coordination, camps & clinics, and special events
    • Assist Assistant AD for Facilities & Operations in facility management including routine maintenance, work orders, preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, and capital projects
    • Supervision of Event staff personnel including student workers and part-time professional staff
    • Coordination with outside vendors including Public Safety, security, and concessions. Specific sport/event responsibilities to be determined per season
    • Responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics & Assistant AD for Operations & Facilities; compliance with all NCAA, A-SUN, Stetson University, and athletic department rules, regulations, and policies

    MINIMUM EDUCATION:  Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred

    Required Skills

    • Good communication, personnel management and organizational skills
    • Must be a self-starter and willing to be a team player
    • Must be able to work varied hours:  regular hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays
    • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is strongly preferred

    MUST POSSESS AND MAINTAIN A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE AND BE INSURABLE UNDER THE UNIVERSITY’S AUTO FLEET POLICY.

     

    Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree; two years of experience in game management; experience in collegiate facility management; knowledge of Banner.

    Required Experience

    • Position requires a Bachelor's degree
    • Applicants should have at least one year experience with game management
