    Arborist Account Manager

    Reports to the Sales & Marketing Manager The Arborist Account Manager is a year-round position requiring knowledge and experience with tree care, tree evaluation, and industry approved tree care practices as well as practical experience in estimating tree services.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Must be able to accurately estimate time and cost for crews to carry out pruning, removal, stump grinding, plant health care services or any other proposed tree care needs.

    Perform site inspections for proposal preparation.

    Identify opportunities to cross-sell lawn care and pest control services while on clients’ properties.

    Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients.

    Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance and image while on clients’ properties.

    Sales prospecting using consultative sales techniques to build long standing business relationships.

    Proposing job costs and providing estimates to prospects and clients.

    Utilizing modern technological software to develop proposals and communicate with clients and co-workers.

    Negotiating contracts and working with office staff to schedule work.

    Drafting work orders and instructing crews on key elements of job scope/requirements to ensure that executed work meets client expectations.

    Set up crews, communicate work being performed, and complete jobs to clients’ satisfaction.

    Following up with clients immediately after a job has been completed to ensure work performed met expectations and resolving issues as needed.

    Following up with clients on past due invoices.

    Obtain referrals from clients, network with peers, and develop new business.

    Continually prospect for new business.

    Crew relations to include review of proper tree care techniques and reviewing work-sites for safety, quality and efficiency.

    Demonstrating role model behaviors on ethics and integrity as well as positively promoting the company culture.

    Required Skills & Abilities

    A minimum 3 years of hands-on arboriculture experience.

    Knowledge of tree ID and plant health care (insect & disease).

    ISA Certified Arborist certification required.

    Ability to effectively price tree care recommendations and other services offered.

    Proven sales track record and ability to achieve required sales goals.

    Excellent client service skills and telephone etiquette.

    Excellent organizational skills – ability to multitask and prioritize.

    Ability to identify problems and work in conjunction with others to implement effective solutions.

    Attention to details, analytical skills, and basic computer and math skills.

    Great listening skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Must be reliable and self-motivated with a can-do, positive, and upbeat attitude.

    Education & Experience

    HS Diploma or GED.

    Working knowledge of Arboriculture.

    Certified Arborist Credentials.

    Client service, prospecting and people skills.

    Phone, email and chat communication skills.

    Persuasion, negotiation and closing skills.

    Must be available to work flexible hours to meet the timing critical demands of the job.

    Must have a valid driver's license in good standing.
