Arbour Valley Management, LLC has an immediate opening for an experienced Property Accountant. The Property Accountant is responsible for preparing all financial statements, providing the customer (management, onsite personnel, auditors, and owners) with financial information as requested, and ensuring the accuracy of all general ledger and financial information within the accounting system.
Essential Functions:
- Reviews and reconciles balance sheets and income statements per property to verify account balances and monitor income and expenses for reasonableness.
- Ensures GL accuracy through bank, balance sheet, and other reconciliations performed monthly. Communicates and researches discrepancies to determine the appropriate corrections needed.
- Ensures that all property and tenant information is up to date and correct. Performs adjustments to tenant ledgers as well as general ledgers as requested by on site personnel and as errors are found through other review.
- Responsible for cash analysis and monitoring, distribution calculations, and reserve contributions as required by partnership operating agreements per property.
- Prepares or compiles and sends out management reports, including owners’ summaries, monthly owners’ financial reports, and monthly and quarterly reporting as required to mortgage holders, HUD, and syndicators. Additionally, this position assists operations with the yearly budget preparation and entering into the accounting system.
- Audit coordination – Provides information and documentation to auditors for annual required audits.
