    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

     

    • This position will be responsible for developing compliance programs, reviewing company policies, and advising management on possible risks. The position will support the Marketing Team to ensure that advertising and promotional messaging adhere to compliance guidelines, while accurately reflecting product/service/promotional offerings.  The role will serve as a subject matter expert in the area of telecom marketing compliance and will closely collaborate with Legal and Operations to ensure adherence to all relevant guidelines.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    MARKETING  COMPLIANCE:

     

    Ensure all advertising, customer and prospect communications and promotional messaging is accurate, consistent and kept in compliance for all brands across 360° consumer facing marketing vehicles, including offline and online materials such as:

    • Advertising (TV, print, radio, etc.)
    • Product Packaging and inside-packaging materials including, but not limited to, Activation Cards, About Your Phone Booklet, and Promotional Inserts
    • Retail mod in-line signage, Displays, POP and brochures
    • Maintain consistency on the Airtime plans branding/benefits and legal disclaimers for online offers as well as physical cards
    • Product assortment, including devices and airtime offering
    • National promotions and PR
    • Website content including primary website and microsites
    • Landing pages
    • Email and Direct Mail
    • Social media postings
    • Online Display advertising
    • Influencer, video, audio content
    • FAQs
    • Coverage maps
    • Legal Disclaimers

     

    This position will lead all PMO activities for compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for campaign prioritizations across work streams within the marketing organization, developing timelines and SLAs for each channel and brand.

     

    CHAMPION BEST PRACTICES

     

     

    This role will serve as a thought leader within the organization, educating relevant teams on the compliance space within the telecom industry. Create and deploy best practices in advertising compliance across the marketing organization. This role will lead the creation of guidelines, streamlines processes, training, systems and tools to ensure the adoption of guidelines throughout the marketing organization.  Develop a control system of the legal guidelines evaluating the process/efficiencies within the different areas and provide improvements as needed.

    • Performs research on regulatory matters of telecom and incorporates these into best practices for our brands, as well as competitors
    • Lead existing as well as new staff trainings on current and new brand guidelines and compliance considerations.
    • Ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes.
    • Resolve employee concerns about legal compliance.
    • Streamlining marketing messaging as it relates to each brand and compliance guidelines.
    • Ensure creative and process alignment between Marketing, Operations and Legal Departments.

     

    OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS AS NEEDED

     

     

    The role will be required to do other duties as assigned including but not limited to;

     

    • Preparation of presentations for training purposes
    • Present and train others on subject matter expertise
    • Provide status reports on campaign backlog
    • Document and maintain files that will be used by others as reference
    • Coordinate meetings, calls and video meeting

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business, legal or related discipline or comparable experience
    • Minimum 5+ years in business, business law, compliance and/or contract review
    • Prior experience in the CPG/FMCG, telecommunication, and/or retail marketing preferred
    •  Strong compliance and legal knowledge within telecommunications preferred
    • Detailed oriented, must always make sure all legal and compliance requirements are met
    • Basic knowledge of all brand guidelines
    • Knowledge of cell phone industry and competitive landscape are a significant plus. 
    • Understanding of the marketing environment related specifically to the Telecom, Retail and/or CPG.
    • Knowledge of the overall business, the category dynamics and all legal matters these entail

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

    • Valid NYS driver’s license required. Must have access to timely and reliable transportation to transport self and participants.
    • Must maintain current required certifications as designated by the agency
