In June of 2015, the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) launched the Business and Information Process Transformation (BIPT) initiative which focuses on process reengineering to identify necessary Information and Technology (IT) capabilities required by end users to address process-based problems across the Academy enterprise. As part of this effort, USAFA acquired Infosilem Scheduling and Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions software to form the basis of a new Student Information System (SIS).  Implementation of the SIS began October 2017, and is now nearing completion.
