    We are offering an exciting new opportunity for a talented, motivated and disciplined Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in our Queensland Business Unit.

    WHAT WE ARE SEEKING:

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role providing desktop support
    • Strong customer service experience
    • A team player with a can-do attitude and a desire to provide quality service
    • Proactive with the ability to work independently
    • Demonstrated ability in performing troubleshooting and configuration tasks
    • Excellent analysis, co-ordination and problem solving skills
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
    • Professional attitude and appearance
    • University Degree or equivalent Certifications in IT are highly desirable
    • Experience with setting up networking equipment on sites (requires knowledge of core networking principles)
    • Experience with workstation imaging and mobile device configuration & deployment
    • Experience with Active Directory & Microsoft Exchange required
    • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and above preferred
    • Understanding of antivirus software, remote access tools, backup principles and group policy
    • Willingness to travel to interstate project and office sites
    • Experience in using ITIL complaint call logging tools

    WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE:

    • Provide Level 1 (and sometimes Level 2) support for assigned service desk requests
    • Triaging of tickets might be required from time to time
    • Maintain accurate hardware and services tracking using the supplied systems
    • Creation, onboarding and maintenance of user accounts and attributes
    • Manage return of IT equipment after off-boarding and project demobilisations
    • Assist with conferencing and audio visual hardware support
    • Provision of general training and onboarding of staff in IT systems
    • Imaging, configuration and deployment of hardware (including mobile devices)
    • Maintenance of hardware including liaison with vendors for repair and warranty issues
    • Provide remote and onsite support to project sites in Queensland
    • Provide remote and onsite support to project sites in other states as and when required
    • Assist staff with implementation and support of line of business applications
    • Maintain internal software user accounts
    • Liaise with software vendors to resolve support requirements
    • Facilitation of the process for minor application upgrades

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    • Basic Computer Literacy as evidenced by the ability to go online and conduct basic searches on the Internet, check his/her email account, create and send e-mail with an attachment and use simple email features.   Can open spreadsheets and word processing documents to read and make simple edits.

    OTHER SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

    • Maintain a collaborative professional relationship with the individual and all support team members; displaying a positive attitude and tolerance to stress.
    • Demonstrate sensitivity, objectivity and tact
    • Communicate effectively with groups of individuals, their family members, and other service providers or employees of the agency
    • Read and interpret documents such as habilitation plans, safety guidelines, and procedure manuals; as well as write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of options in situations where only limited instructions exist
    • Complete the agency’s pre-service training program. Training includes: first aid and CPR; health and safety issues; community inclusion practices; behavioral and medical needs of individuals with developmental disabilities; record keeping and documentation practices.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Standing 50% of the time; walking 25% of the time, and sitting 25% of the time.
    • Frequently required to ascend or descend stairs.
    • Frequently required to kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull or lift.
    • Very frequently required to exert up to 20 pounds of force, and occasionally exert 50 pounds of force.
    • Visual acuity required to operate motor vehicles, view a computer terminal, and check accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of written work.
    • Ability to use all equipment and adaptive equipment safely and effectively.

     

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

    • Valid NYS Driver's License. Availability of insured personal vehicle to transport self and/or individuals as necessary.

     

    OTHER

    • Work in a minimally supervised setting.
    • Work flexible hours – days, evenings, and weekends – as necessary in order to meet the needs of individuals served.
    • Drive agency vehicle to transport individuals as needed.
    • Must be able to successfully pass the Child Registry Check
