Overview

The Senior Director of Operations will lead the implementation and execution of key operational initiatives for the Archadeck Outdoor Living franchise system. This individual will have responsibility for achieving the business unit’s annual budget objectives and leading the support team in providing world class training, coaching and mentoring for the franchisees.

The primary objectives are: (1) drive organic growth and improve the unit economics of existing franchisees; and (2) continue the aggressive efforts to train and launch new franchisees effectively. One of the key responsibilities of this position is to provide consultative communication and assistance to franchisees, directly and through the dedicated brand and shared support teams, in driving revenue growth and strong franchise unit economics, conducting business analysis and ensuring quality operations and strong customer satisfaction.

This position reports directly to the Vice President and Brand Leader of Archadeck Outdoor Living.

Essential Responsibilities

Provide overall direction and guidance in the operational activities of the franchise system with the objective of providing proactive training and assistance to franchisees in the pursuit of maximizing unit growth and profitability.

Build strong working relationships with franchisees based on trust, transparency and accountability.

Work closely with the Vice President and Brand Leader to expand and enhance the Archadeck Outdoor Living business model as the outdoor living spaces category and competitive landscape evolves.

Manage and provide leadership to the operational field support team to ensure effective communication and proactive day-to-day support promoting a spirit of cooperation between franchisees and the franchisor.

Oversee and support new franchisee training, targeted regional training and annual conventions.

Provide ongoing sales training and support franchisees in their efforts to recruit, train and develop a sales team.

Work closely with the Drafting and Construction department to efficiently and accurately work with the franchisees to complete drawing packages and support the construction process.

Work closely with the Marketing department to create and implement new marketing and lead generation initiatives driving increased lead flow and revenue growth.

Work closely with the Technology department to develop, implement and support an integrated technology platform supporting the efficient operation of a franchise location.

Work closely with the Finance and Accounting department to ensure full compliance across the Archadeck franchise system.

Work collaboratively with the other brand support teams to identify best practices that can be shared across the company’s various business units.

Job RequirementsA highly motivated, dynamic leader with:

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field preferred.

Franchise operations/business support experience.

Demonstrated track record in meeting/exceeding budget and/or development goals.

Demonstrated leadership skills.

Ability to perform business analysis and create a development plan.

Prior training experience.

Exceptional written, verbal, and consultative communication skills with the ability to influence, coach, and motivate.

Strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to travel up to 25%, as necessary.

Strong presentation skills.

Microsoft Office products knowledge required.
