    Our organization seeks a motivated and skilled FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) Interoperability Expert. The Interoperability Expert plays a strategic role in healthcare IT who specializes in the design, development, and implementation of FHIR-based solutions. .

    As the driving force behind our HL7/FHIR implementation strategies, you will liaise between business units and technical teams, ensuring that the solutions align with our customer’s business goals while participating in FHIR community events, including conferences, meetings, boot camps, forums, and other interaction points. Together with the Development Team, enhance and create content tutorials, developer manuals, and client libraries for current and future project developers.

    This is a fully remote, full-time position.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Extensive familiarity with the FHIR specification, the FHIR infrastructure, and the FHIR community as a whole. HL7 FHIR Competence: Exhibit an in-depth understanding of HL7 FHIR standards and their application to the exchange of healthcare data.
    2. Architect, design, and implement SMART on FHIR applications that cater to the healthcare industry's requirements.
    3. Act as the bridge between our organization's technical and non-technical arms. Effectively convey complex architectural concepts and strategies to a diverse audience, ensuring buy-in and alignment at all organizational levels.
    4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the web application with FHIR API endpoints and other data sources in a seamless manner.
    5. Capability to conduct research and provide answers to customer queries regarding data and FHIR.
    6. Interacting directly with developers and consumers to gain a deeper understanding of their requirements
    7. Communicate FHIR solutions to business and IT stakeholders and present them to achieve consensus.
    8. Create conceptual and detailed architecture for APIs using FHIR resources
    9. A perspective that is adaptable, empathetic, collaborative, and optimistic.
    10. Technically proficient in written and verbal communication abilities.

    Qualifications:

    1. Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder
    2. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
    3. 5+ years of experience
    4. Healthcare interoperability, HL7, FHIR, CDS Hooks, SMART on FHIR, & APIs.
    5. HL7 Expertise: Proficiency in HL7 standards, particularly HL7 v2, and v3, is the core skill for this role.
    6. Experience with integration architecture, especially APIs and interoperability of FHIR APIs.
    7. Experience utilizing Smart on FHIR standards to build healthcare applications
    8. Experience developing artifacts, such as resources and profile definitions, in accordance with FHIR's development guidelines, policies, and procedures
    9. Experience with API technologies: API gateways, API management, Service Mesh & Developer Portals
    10. Knowledge of FHIR standards, emerging system integration technologies, analysis, design, programming, training, and implementation planning.
    11. Ability to communicate effectively.
    12. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    13. Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and multitask while maintaining attention to detail; and the ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills.

    Additional Requirements:

    1. A willingness to continually learn and adapt to the evolving technology landscape.
    2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    All work must be conducted within the U.S., excluding U.S. territories. Some federal contracts require U.S. citizenship to be eligible for employment.

    As the US Government is our clientele, you may be required to obtain a public trust or security clearance.
