    COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT FIELD STRATEGIST

    Archipelago Strategies Group, Inc. (ASG) is looking for a dynamic FIELD STRATEGIST to join our award-winning team. We are looking for a self-motivated, community-oriented, and thoughtful professional who will help lead and execute on the strategy for our community field campaigns. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relevant experience working on political campaigns, community outreach campaigns, etc.

    PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    · Lead strategist for field operations

    · Build out paid field programs across the state for various public and private facing clients

    · Create workplans, campaign universes, survey questions, talking points, engagement pipelines, reporting mechanisms, identify key performance metrics, and trainings for multiple field teams at a time working on separate projects

    · Proactively find areas for growth and follow through on demands

    · Train and manage field leads

    · Ensure that field leads are meeting key performance indicators (KPIs)

    · Continue to build out entry level organizers to increase team-wide capacity

    · Hire teams both directly and indirectly for field programs and create systems for accountability among these teams

    · Manage field data

    · Identify data sources, both conventional and otherwise to use to inform and drive field efforts

    · Be fluent in use of at least one direct contact CRM (Ecanvasser, VAN, Nationbuilder)

    · Manage data entry support

    · Handle all supplying of teams, including attire, literature, and other miscellaneous materials necessary for a field campaign

    · Delivery of said materials is also part of these responsibilities

    · Build and maintain relationships in the community and identify opportunities for ASG field projects

    · Meet regularly with stakeholders and present strong arguments for ASG field value

    · Coordinate across ASG departments to maximize campaign effectiveness

    · Identify, initiate, and deepen relationships with various community stakeholders on behalf of ASG clients

    · Independently research and develop member engagement programs, initiatives and events aligned with ASG clients’ initiatives

    · Coordinate, plan and attend community meetings and events, both virtual and in person on behalf of ASG clients to hear community concerns, provide information about community engagement and advocate for participation

    · Fulfill logistical requirements for community events and engagements including but not limited to: recruitment of participants, scheduling, assessing and securing meeting locations, pre and post meeting communications, preparing materials, securing printing and delivery of materials, and providing on-site support as needed

    · Interface and communicate in a collaborative manner with individuals at all levels of the organization

    · Perform other duties as assigned

     

    SKILLS:

    · Fluency with CRMs including but not limited to: QuickBase, NGP-VAN, Ecanvasser, Nationbuilder, or other similar technologies

    · Excellent communication skills with superior command of the English language and grammar

    · Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities

    · Self-driven, pro-active, ability to work effectively and independently

    · Responsible, organized with outstanding attention to details

    · Knowledge of computer and MS Office 365 suite or equivalent software programs

    · Has demonstrated a strong connection to their community and used organizing to improve the social good

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    · 2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related field

    · 3-4 cycles of field campaign experience or equivalent direct contact experience with management experience

    · Bilingual (English/Spanish and/or Portuguese) skills and the ability to navigate, mobilize and understand the cultural nuances of diverse communities.

    · Experience with technologies and best practices across multiple platforms

    · Knowledge of computer and MS Office 365 suite or equivalent software programs

    · Daily use and update of Project Management tools to track progress on clients’ initiatives.

    · Daily participation in all-staff meetings

    · Salary range for this position is commensurate with experience.

    · This is a full-time position. 40+ hours a week with irregular/long hours during campaigns.
