    Architectural Designer

    Summary:

    The Architectural Designer will oversee the planning and execution of retail store tenant improvement projects, coordinating with internal teams, landlords, and external consultants. The role focuses on leveraging CAD software for design accuracy, managing project timelines, budgets, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Construction Manager will also handle permits, procurement, and on-site quality assurance while ensuring seamless collaboration between departments and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan, direct, and coordinate store space planning and design development with the Operations team for store tenant improvement projects, ensuring the use of CAD for design accuracy.
    • Collaborate with landlords, A/E consultants, and vendors on project coordination, sublease plans, and tenant permitting.
    •  Manage A/E proposals, coordinate with landlords and government agencies on store entitlements, permits, and bidding processes.
    • Review contractor schedules, submittals, change orders, and respond to RFIs.
    • Oversee procurement and installation of owner-supplied fixtures and equipment.
    •  Produce project and cost reports; ensure accurate record-keeping and internal coordination with departments such as IT and Marketing.
    • Conduct site visits to monitor construction quality and ensure compliance.
    • Manage construction projects for store improvements, warehouses, and headquarters.
    • Ensure compliance with lease agreements, safety protocols, and regulations.
    • Work effectively and efficiently both independently with minimal direction and as part of a larger, multi-cultural team.
    •  Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders and management.
    • Mitigate risks, resolve conflicts, and manage change orders to minimize disruption.
    • Ensure compliance with lease agreements and construction regulations.
    • Uphold safety protocols and promote a culture of safety.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in project management.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (Master’s
    • degree preferred).
    •  5+ years of experience in commercial construction projects, with a focus on CAD design and integration.
    •  Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools (e.g., Bluefin, Procore).
    • Strong understanding of lease agreements and their impact on construction projects.
    •  Solid knowledge of MEP systems management and integration using CAD.
    •  Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    •  Strong financial acumen for budgeting and expense management.
    •  Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Commitment to safety and adherence to regulations.
  • Compensation
    $100,000-$120,000 per year
