Architectural Drafter (Residential)

Northern Metro (Hybrid) I Direct Hire I $28.00 - $35.00/hr

Are you an experienced residential drafter seeking a dynamic opportunity to help shape the blueprint of exceptional homes? Our client, a Custom Home Builder, seeks an Architectural Residential Drafter to add to their team. In this role, you will create precise construction document sets for custom homes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive construction drawings, including intricate details, elevations, sections, and electrical plans using AutoCAD.
• Work closely with various departments, including Design, Production, Customer Service, and Field, to incorporate crucial information effectively into the plans.
• Contribute to refining and upholding consistent processes while actively seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Perform efficiently within designated timelines for each project, maintaining quality and precision.
• Help elevate the department’s standards.

Qualifications:

• AAS Degree in Architectural Drafting & Design or similar
• AutoCAD Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD software, proficiently translating designs into precise 2D drafts.
• 2+ years of residential architectural drafting experience
• Background with residential new construction, particularly in custom homes.
• Strong attention to detail and a consistent approach in adhering to established standards.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret engineering data relevant to lumber, truss, and footings for implementation into drawings. Knowledge of brace wall panels.
