Reports To: Drafting Supervisor
** Job Purpose:** Support the success of MBA by providing drafting support to the Planning & Design Department, specifically focused on residential existing conditions and Measurement & Photo.
** Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct on-site measurements of existing residential structures, including interiors, exteriors, and site features.
- Capture comprehensive photo documentation of residential existing conditions
- Create accurate Existing Condition Drawings in the field
- Prepare floor plans, elevations, and details from the existing condition field measurements using Chief Architect
- Follow Mosby drafting standards and construction details when producing drawings
- Support the Planning & Design team in providing excellent customer service to all clients
- Continually develop new skills and knowledge, and utilize technology to fulfill responsibilities
Minimum Requirements:
- Technical college degree or certificate in residential drafting
- 6 months of residential drafting experience preferred
- Knowledge in Auto CAD or other equivalent drafting software (Chief Architect a plus)
- Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
- Knowledge of construction building methods preferred
- Perform duties in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner
- Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Own and maintain clean, professional, and reliable transportation to use for travelling locally to client appointments
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; occasionally requires the ability to lift supplies up to 50 pounds .
