This position will serve to assist the PR team at Arco + Associates with overflow pitching and writing duties. Our clients include a broad range of B2B and B2C organizations throughout the country who have received a multitude of local, regional, and national media coverage through our efforts as their strategic marketing partner. We are looking for you to join us as a Freelance Public Relations Assistant where you will work hand in hand with our PR specialists to craft language, pitch content, and follow up with various media outlets to secure hits and increase exposure for our client partners. Candidates must submit a resume and two writing samples. Time commitment: As needed basis Responsibilities: • Pitch press releases and thought leadership articles to the media • Pitch speaking submissions on behalf of our clients • Track and compile media hits for reporting purposes • Build positive relationships with reporters and journalists • Conduct media and industry-specific research to create robust media lists Qualifications: • Highly skilled communicator • Strong knowledge of public relations process and pitching cycles • Organized and self-directed • Fast-paced and able to multitask • Deadline driven Compensation: $20 - $30/hr
