5 years of supervising experience (required)
Valid motor vehicle operator license
High School Diploma or equivalent
Caregiving: 10 years+
Medication administration: 3 year+
Tube feeding: 1 year (Preferred)
CNA (Preferred)
LPN (Preferred)

Assistant House Manager

Duties and Responsibilities –
Assist in managing operations of the facility
Enforce state and government regulations
Oversee program for the home and program development. Analyze trends in assisted living in implementing program
Staff development and supervision: recruit, train and supervise quality staff. Provide re-training and/or terminate staff if needed. Maintain a good working relationship with staff.
Assure quality of home is maintained by contracting preventive maintenance.
Implement policies and procedures.
Ensure clients receive proper medical attention by scheduling and coordinating doctors appointments; accompany clients to doctors visits.
Perform task that support the overall function of the business, which may be altered upon circumstances.
Caregiving
Assist individual with daily living and care skills such as self-care, meal preparation, transportation, etc.
Assist individual on accessing a variety of activities such as going out to eat, the movies, shopping, etc.
Works with individual and family in a compassionate and understanding manner.
Maintain positive and effective communication with all other staff members.
Redirect problem behaviors (behavioral modification/ behavioral therapy skills preferred)
Maintain a clean, safe and homelike environment.
Implement policies and procedures
Requirements: -
High School Diploma or GED/equivalent; Minimum age - 18 yrs. Ability to perform multiple lift and transfers- 50+ lbs. Ability to pass State of Alaska Background Check. Valid vehicle operator's license and a clean driving record. Current vehicle insurance meeting the state minimum requirement. Physical ability to lift, lower, and maneuver up to 50 pounds. Working availability including evenings, and weekends.
