Job Description

Our team has an immediate need for an experienced CAD Specialist with strong analytical skills and a creative mind to develop and evaluate mechanical designs and solutions to support our Navy customer. In this role, you will generate computer network drawings, including elevation views and schematics, using CAD software such as Visio or AutoCAD.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Working with our Navy customer to design, build and create integration system drawings.
• Design various control and/or power systems.
• Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), drawings, and system documentation.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or similar field, or 5+ years relevant experience.
• 2-3 years’ experience generating computer network drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD or Visio.
• 2-3 years’ experience in building elevation views and schematics.
• Understanding of computer network architecture and computer network components such as routers, switches, servers, cabling infrastructure, etc.
• Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• This position requires on-site support in Chesapeake, VA.
• Preferred certifications, but not required: Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP), Certified CAD Technician (CCT), Certified CAD Manager (CCM).
