Job Description

We are seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to work onsite in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will be part of the development team responsible for implementing and managing backend software development supporting data feed ingestion efforts. You will utilize Azkaban flows to retrieve data from external APIs or internal spreadsheets. You will work with a team to maintain data accuracy and be responsible for supporting and defining processes and methodologies, resolving complex technical issues or research problems.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create automated processes to routinely pull the most current dataset for each data feed.
• Collaborate with Software Development teams, Project Managers to ensure efficient deployment of systems.
• Create and implement new data feeds using Azkaban flows to retrieve data from external APIs.
• Convert data into JSON or CSV formats to be ingested into Splunk.
• Follow the best development practices and insist on constant and continuous improvement.
• Devise testing strategies and execute test plans effectively.
  

Required Skills

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Puppet or Ruby.
• Familiarity with Azkaban opensource workflow manager.
• Ability to manage mainstream cloud service utilizing Terraform.
• Proven knowledge with Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform and Google Cloud monitoring or Azure.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps architecture and deployment.
• Understanding of data structures and design of highly available systems.
• Design enterprise architecture experience.
• Demonstrated experience using Java or Python Linux, SQL and SPL (Splunk Search) languages.
• Understanding Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
• Familiarity with Golang general purpose opensource programming language.
• Knowledge of AWS Lambda is a plus.

Security Clearance Requirement

• Candidates must possess an Active Secret Clearance (TS/SCI is preferred)

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related fields or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 2 years of experience utilizing Azkaban opensource workflow manager.
• 3+ years in Python, PowerShell, Java and SQL.
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills.
• Strong documentation and writing skills.
• Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IAT Level II certification is a plus.
• Ability to work project tasks to completion with little to no supervision.
• Self-motivated, highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task.
