    Job Description

    We are seeking a Senior Cyber Enterprise Architect to add to our dynamic team. In this role, you will be part of the leadership team responsible for overseeing the ideating, architecting, defining, and designing future defensive cyber operations (DCO) / security operations (SOC) solutions based on next generation open source and best of breed commercial solutions.

    Your primary responsibility is to engage with and manage the team’s relationships with key stakeholders. This role focuses on capturing and scoping requirements, user workflows, examining technical options, and collaborating with the larger team to bring them into production. You will fuse a keen sense of empathy for the customer’s challenges with your hands-on expertise with SOC, DCO, and IT security solutions to delight the customer.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Inspire and Shape Future capabilities: Work hand in hand with key project stakeholders to develop and define future capabilities and use cases.
    • Manage Key Engagements: Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders to interface with the project team.
    • Identify Customer Requirements: Meet with customers to understand and capture their current challenges and opportunities.
    • Develop Solutions: Architect and design solutions to meet customer needs, accounting for functional requirements, scalability, performance, cost, resilience, and security needs.
    • Collaborate effectively: Leveraging the customers’ requirements, partner with sales, developers, engineering, and customer team members to solve issues and provide solutions.
    • Deliver Value: By
      ensuring on time delivery of vendor supplied components to meet project delivery milestones. 

    Required Skills

    • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, Engagement Manager, Technical Account Manager, or other similar role.
    • Thorough understanding of V-model based engineering including applicable testing phases and milestone mapping.
    • Experience utilizing architecture products to shape/inform solution requirements in support of acquisition objectives.
    • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
    • Background in project management, sales, and customer service.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Writing and editing technical/functional requirements, design specs, and design documents.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM/project management software.

    Required Qualifications

    • 8+ years industry experience in cybersecurity, information technology, cloud, or related roles.
    • General IT, cloud computing, and cybersecurity technical literacy/proficiency. 
    • Demonstrated experience with federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFAR), and government contracting, preferably with the Department of the Navy or other DoD entity.
    • Experience implementing and optimizing SOC/analyst tools, processes, and data consumption.
    • Experience tuning and customizing SIEM and SOARs: rule creation, rule tuning, investigation automation, custom data parsing, notebook building, data enrichment, etc.
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, or other similar related field, or 5 additional years of equivalent experience.
    • This is an on-site position in Suffolk, VA. Candidates must live in the greater Norfolk/Suffolk/Virginia Beach area or be willing to relocate there before starting.
    • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
    • The ability to travel to customer sites 0-25% as required.

    Additional Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience as a program manager or project lead within a large cross functional team.
    • Served as primary contributor or technical editor to formal technical writing and deliverables.
    • Understanding of modern threat environments and attack types, as well as secure system design.
    • Deep knowledge of the DoD Architectural Framework, including development of operational (OV), data (DIV), system (SV) and service (SvcV) view products.
    • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills.
    • Capability to independently complete project tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Self-motivated, highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task.
    • Domain-related certifications are a plus, such as from Microsoft, SANS, Offensive Security, ISC2, etc.

    Physical Requirements

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • This is an onsite / in-office role.
