Extended Stay America is seeking a results-driven Area Director of Sales to lead sales efforts for two properties in the Pittsburgh (Cranberry Township, PA) and Cleveland (Independence, OH) markets. This position is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic business relationships, and increasing occupancy through corporate, government, project, and extended-stay accounts. The Area Director of Sales will oversee market-level sales strategy, develop new business opportunities, and work closely with property leadership to achieve revenue goals while strengthening Extended Stay America’s presence in both markets. Applicant must be based in Pittsburgh, PA, or Cleveland, OH Responsibilities: • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to maximize occupancy and revenue across both properties. • Prospect, secure, and maintain corporate, government, insurance, relocation, and project-based accounts. • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, contractors, hospitals, and relocation companies. • Conduct sales calls, site visits, and networking events to generate new leads and business opportunities. • Manage RFP responses and negotiate corporate rates. • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies. • Collaborate with property General Managers to implement revenue-driving initiatives. • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and accounts in CRM systems. • Represent Extended Stay America within local business organizations and chambers of commerce. • Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance reports, and action plans. Qualifications: • 3+ years of hotel sales experience required; extended stay or select service experience preferred. • Proven track record of driving revenue and building long-term corporate accounts. • Experience managing multiple properties or markets preferred. • Strong prospecting, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. • Knowledge of extended stay segments, including project crews, insurance housing, medical, and relocation. • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills. • Ability to travel locally between both markets as needed. • Proficiency in CRM systems and hotel sales reporting tools preferred. Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 + bonus potential
