Position Title: Area Manager
Reports To: SVP, Operations
Status: Exempt
Position Overview
The Area Manager oversees multiple client sites, leading supervisors and front-line staff to ensure services consistently meet or exceed expectations. This role is responsible for client satisfaction, operational performance, team development, and budget management.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Client Management
- Ensure all sites meet contract requirements and service standards
- Maintain strong client relationships and address concerns proactively
- Conduct regular site visits and quality inspections
Quality & Service Delivery
- Enforce standard procedures, tools, and cleaning protocols
- Ensure staff are trained, properly equipped, and meeting expectations
- Resolve service issues with appropriate follow-up
Financial Oversight
- Manage payroll and site budgets
- Review timekeeping and control supply and equipment costs
Team Leadership
- Hire, train, and develop supervisors and staff
- Provide performance feedback and coaching
- Ensure HR documentation and processes are completed accurately
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable labor agreements
- Prepare and submit required reports
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience managing teams in a multi-site or operations environment preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
- Frequent walking, bending, and site inspections
- Regular travel between locations required
