Are you a results-driven leader with a strong track record in upstream oil & gas operations? We're looking for an Area Operations Manager to lead regional performance, drive production efficiency, and ensure safe, compliant operations across key assets.

About the Role
As Area Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the execution of drilling, completions, and production activities across a defined region. You’ll lead field teams, manage financial performance (including EBIT, ROS, and cash flow), and ensure strict compliance with HSE, environmental, and regulatory standards.
You’ll have direct influence on:
Asset performance
Strategic investment decisions
Team development
Compliance with internal controls and public reporting standards
What You’ll Do
Lead regional upstream operations to meet production and financial targets
Build and execute annual operating plans with clear KPIs and safety benchmarks
Manage budgets, forecasts, and reporting in alignment with SEC-level controls
Champion a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, BSEE, EPA)
Standardize processes across field locations to drive consistency and efficiency
Oversee integration of any acquisitions or new field developments within your region
Engage and develop high-performing teams through mentorship, training, and leadership
What We’re Looking For
8+ years of upstream oil & gas operations experience, with regional or multi-site responsibility
Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business, or related discipline (MBA preferred)
Proven experience managing field teams and asset performance in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
Strong understanding of P&L ownership, financial forecasting, and regulatory compliance
Skilled in systems like SAP, Oracle, P2, and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, BSEE, and other upstream regulatory bodies
Location & Travel
Based in-region with regular travel to field locations (approx. 40%)
Split between field, regional office, and remote oversight
