    We're looking for someone who is hungry, personable, organized, and genuinely enjoys sales. The ideal candidate is comfortable picking up the phone, developing relationships from scratch, asking for the business, and following an opportunity all the way through the sales cycle. They should be equally comfortable working independently and collaborating with a team to find the best solution for the client and the hotels. Experience selling both Marriott and Hilton properties is a significant advantage, as this position represents a unique opportunity to sell two distinct brands within one area sales organization. This position is responsible for developing new business, growing existing accounts, and driving group and room revenue across the collection. The Area Sales Manager will manage a portfolio of accounts and market segments while working collaboratively with the Area Director of Sales & Marketing, Area Senior Sales Manager, and hotel leadership to achieve revenue goals and maximize opportunities across both properties. This is an opportunity for a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys prospecting, closing business, building long-term client relationships, and selling multiple hotel products based on the needs of each group. Responsibilities: Sales & Revenue Generation Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new group, corporate, and other qualified business opportunities. Prospect consistently through phone calls, email, networking, trade shows, industry events, appointments, and other business-development activities. Manage the sales process from initial inquiry and RFP through contracting, closing, and transition to the appropriate hotel team. Achieve assigned individual and team sales goals through proactive business development and account management. Identify opportunities to maximize revenue across both hotels based on availability, room requirements, meeting space, rates, and client needs. Account Management Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients. Manage assigned accounts and develop strategies to increase production and loyalty. Conduct regular client appointments, sales calls, site inspections, and follow-up activities. Serve as a knowledgeable resource for clients while identifying opportunities to introduce additional business to the hotel collection. Multi-Property Sales Effectively position both Courtyard by Marriott and Embassy Suites by Hilton based on the needs of each opportunity. Collaborate with hotel teams to determine the best property and overall solution for each group. Understand each hotel's unique product, meeting space, guest experience, and revenue opportunities. Work collaboratively with the Area Sales Team to ensure opportunities are routed and managed appropriately. Strategy & Market Development Research market trends, competitive activity, and emerging business opportunities. Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through consistent prospecting and follow-up. Utilize Delphi and sales systems to maintain accurate account information, activities, opportunities, and forecasts. Participate in weekly sales meetings, pipeline reviews, forecasting, and strategic planning. Represent The Orlando Stay Collection at industry trade shows, conferences, networking events, and community functions. Team Collaboration Work closely with the Area Director of Sales & Marketing and Area Senior Sales Manager to execute the overall sales strategy. Collaborate with Revenue Management, Catering, Convention Services, Reservations, and hotel operations to ensure successful group business. Communicate client needs and business details effectively through the sales and transition process. Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented sales culture. Qualifications: Proven ability to prospect, develop relationships, negotiate, and close business. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities while maintaining exceptional follow-up. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Delphi/sales systems. Experience selling Marriott and/or Hilton hotels strongly preferred. Familiarity with Marriott and Hilton brand standards, products, and loyalty programs preferred. Ability to travel locally for client appointments, site visits, trade shows, and networking events as needed. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative area sales team. Nights and weekend availability as needed.
