We are seeking a career-oriented Corporate Recruiter/HR Generalist to fill a key role on our growing team. This individual works under the guidance of the Operations Manager and oversees human resources and staff recruiting functions. Corporate Recruiter responsibilities include: * Identify current openings and work closely with location managers and corporate management * Prepare job advertisements and refer them to the advertising coordinator for posting * Source candidates using job boards, resume databases, social media sites, internal database, and through referrals * Screen candidates via phone and email communications to determine fit for open positions * Schedule and Interview candidates * Conduct reference checks and background screenings * Refer qualified candidates to a location manager and/or corporate trainer for follow-up interview * Finalize employment decision and making employment offers HR Generalist responsibilities include: * On-board new employees, including training on internal policies, EEOC laws, our proprietary software, position expectations, and position overview * Maintain personnel files and ensure all contracts and required documents are completed and signed * Issue training materials and verifying required training has been completed * Track location personnel attendance, such as absenteeism, annual leave, bereavement, and family leave * Notify payroll administrator when there are changes in personnel and adjustments to payroll * Issue termination reports for direct supervisors to complete * Conduct exit interviews or sending exit interview forms to terminated employees * Monitor Covid rules and standards and acting as the liaison for staff Covid issues * Oversee the distribution of new tax forms, I-9 forms, and I-9 manuals as they are updated by the government * Conduct internal I-9 audits to ensure compliance with rules and regulations * Monitor changes to HR-related employment laws * Conduct Internet research regarding HR-related issues * Suggest and implement procedural changes as needed * Liaison to our third-party administrator for self-insured Workers' Compensation claims * Liaison to accounting department for benefits-related functions The right candidate will possess the following: * Must have at least 3 to 5 years of Human Resources and Recruiting experience * A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred * Must have the ability to thoroughly screen and interview candidates * Must have an understanding of employment-related laws and regulations * Must have the ability to be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills is required * An ability to work within a team environment with a willingness to take on new responsibilities as needed * Must have a working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook; Will train on proprietary software * Proficiency utilizing resume databases, such as Zip Recruiter, Monster, or CareerBuilder is a plus If interested in this career opportunity, please submit your resume and salary requirements to jroberts@areatemps.com.
