WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Areas is looking for an enthusiastic and detail oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team and provide support for our 13 restaurants located within Terminal 1 of the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport.
POSITION DETAILS
- Job Title: Bookkeeper / Administrative Manager
- Reports To: General Manager
- Status: Exempt
- Department: Operations
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- FINANCIAL - Responsible to perform all cash room duties, including liquidations, generates daily reports for shortages and overages, checks transactions and conduct reconciliation of accounts and reports discrepancies to Management if no cash manager is in place. Supporting 13 restaurants.
- BUDGET - Monitors budget and completes financial forms as directed by the General Manager
- SUPPLIES - Orders office supplies on a timely manner
- REPORTS - Generates daily sales and labor reports, including overtime. Compiles, generates and tabulates various data or statistics for projects, records or recurring reports, office activity reports or statement reconciliations as needed
- EQUIPMENT - Supervises the maintenance of office equipment, including copier, office pc’s printers, etc.
- PLANNING - Assists in the planning, research, development, and implementation of programs and specials projects
- INVOICES - Assist in the processing and tracking of all invoices
- INVENTORY - Assists management in the control’s uniforms inventory
- FILING - Keep all files updated, archive all documents
- VENDOR CONTACT - Follow up and support restaurant maintenance requests. Keep all vendor contacts and account numbers up to date
- OTHER DUTIES - Performs other related duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION - Minimum of an Associate degree or High School diploma with the equivalent experience.
- EXPERIENCE - 3+ year’s general administrative assistant background.
- SOFTWARE - Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power point). Experience on SAP, Crunchtime, preferred.
- CASH HANDLING - Must have strong cash handling skills.
- ACCOUNTING - Must have experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- COMMUNICATION - Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the company. Must be able to read, write and understand English.
- DETAIL – Strong attention to detail.
- INDEPENDENT - Must be self-motivated and be able to perform with minimum supervision.
- ORGANIZATION - Good organizational skills and time management skills.
- DEADLINES - Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- MULTI-TASK - Able to multi-task and, carefully and be able to proofread own work.
- BACKGROUND CHECK – Must be 18+ and pass TSA background check.
