Arevtech is seeking a Help Desk Technician with strong technical, troubleshooting, and analytical skills to join our team!
Position Description:
The Help Desk Technician will work with our technical team, supporting clients both remotely and on-site. This position is responsible for implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting technologies from the desktop-level to server-side infrastructure and applications, firewalls, networking, and other advanced technologies.
A successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills, be organized and detail oriented, and be able to communicate fluently in English.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide phone, email, remote, and on-site support to a wide variety of clients
Travel to client offices to execute hardware and software installations
Troubleshoot and analyze technical issues and situations with critical thinking skills
Maintain a detailed knowledge of internal standards and best practices for installing new equipment
Manage time entries and notes in tickets and tasks
Must be able to complete tasks in a group as well as individually
Establish positive long-term relationships with our clients and internal staff
Minimum Qualifications:
Availability for on-call work rotation
Minimum two years of relevant experience
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Displays outstanding customer service skills and professionalism
Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
Experience with Windows 7/8/10
Desktop and server hardware knowledge and troubleshooting
Microsoft Office Suite 2010/2013/2016/2019
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, etc.
Virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V, ESXI, etc.
Windows server and network deployment and administration
Implementation of backup and disaster recovery solutions
Microsoft Office 365 business services and technologies
Virus and Malware removal, security and prevention
Firewall application and usage experience and knowledge
Remote monitoring and automation platforms
Additional Requirements
Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with occasional bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reaching above shoulder level required
Professional and friendly demeanor
Pays attention and adheres to company policies and procedures
Reliable vehicle
Valid driver’s license
Drug test and background check
