About the Head Physical Therapist Position
The Head PT is ultimately responsible for all aspects of clinic operations. The Head PT strategizes and works in concert with the Provider, as well as leads, develops, and mentors all staff and other PT/PTA to manage patient engagement and performance to obtain the highest quality care. The Head PT will work closely with Provider and Director of Rehab to ensure all clinic operations and performance goals are met and exceeded.
Head Physical Therapist Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all front desk operations including referral management, insurance verification, collections, and complete and accurate data entry. Manage and oversee all PT operations including clinical KPIs, weekly and monthly reporting and meetings, and provide exceptional care to all patients
Maintain a fun, professional environment free from discrimination and harassment of any sort. All concerns should be brought to HR immediately
Create effective ways of managing any clinic insufficiencies and hold the team accountable for action plans and execution as well as acknowledging and celebrating all wins
Review and manage all requests for time-off or time of leave to ensure all aspects of the clinic are properly managed to prevent lack of coverage in clinic. This includes PTO for recreation, education, sick leave, or emergency situations. Ensure advanced scheduling & holiday scheduling guidelines are executed per company policy
Work closely and partner with PSR to lead front desk operational excellence, including referral log, patient scheduling, and clear communication strategies around financial responsibility that is comfortable and transparent to patients. Work with Clinical Operations Manager (COM) to seek guidance for front desk support
Direct staff in matters of customer service, scheduling, and company policies to ensure quality
Perform and oversee all new staff member on-boarding per company policy
Develop and execute brand recognition strategies and community involvement to promote client education
Lead and participate in monthly meetings to include all staff, driven by a written agenda from monthly report, to drive clinic success along with communicate all new company initiatives at meeting and daily execution
Complete clinical compliance quarterly chart audits and management of daily/monthly tasks
Create and maintain high level of clinical quality through patient engagement strategies to lead all staff to outstanding results
Identify all team member strengths and weaknesses and develop and manage opportunities to improve team performance. Oversee all team member coaching and professional development including performance mentorship, violations of company policy, and addressing all patient complaints. Work with HR team for support as needed
Perform all Staff PT duties as outlined in job description
Head Physical Therapist Requirements
Must have at least 2 years of practice experience in out-patient orthopedic PT practice or 5 years of practice in other setting with managerial experience
Willing to participate in CEU's specific to market needs including orthopedic specific intervention strategies
Must be able to demonstrate and perform all patient activities for patient performance
Must be able to maintain stationary position 50% of the time
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Frequently operates computer and equipment throughout PT gym
Graduate from an accredited physical therapy license and hold licensure from their respective state of practice
