About the Clinical Trainer Position
The Clinical Trainer will be responsible for developing comprehensive clinical training curriculums and conducting training sessions across the organization. This individual will incorporate existing educational programs and collaborate in the development of educational programs. They will also be responsible for the evaluation of staff's understanding and readiness of training content to ensure Health and Safety standards of care settings.
Clinical Trainer Responsibilities
Schedule nurses' shifts
Assign nurses to patients
Ensure we meet operational nursing standards
Provide reports on productivity, quality and customer service metrics
Ensure all nurses follow policies and procedures
Train new team members
Evaluate nurses' performance
Inform family members about medical procedures and doctors' instructions
Handle complaints or other issues
Establish a compassionate environment by providing psychological support to patients, family, and friends
Keep records of nurses' files, patients' cases and procedures
Clinical Trainer Requirements
5+ years clinical practice focused on chronic and/or other high risk populations
2+ years experience with training clinicians
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for managed care organizations
Experience with utilization review and utilization management programs s
Knowledge of MCG and CMS criteria and how to apply them for decision making
BSc or Diploma in Nursing; training in healthcare administration is a plus
Active unrestricted RN license valid in one or more of the United States
