    To maintain Trans-Matic’s Quality System in compliance with IATF 16949:2016 / ISO 9001:2015 (or newer) standards and provide associate level quality engineering support to the quality & operations teams.

     SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Quality Management System (QMS):

      • Facilitate & maintain Trans-Matic’s document control system (DCS).
      • Provide hands-on assistance in procedure development for all functional areas of the company.
      • Coordinate both internal and external system audits as the primary contact for internal and 3rd party auditors.
        • (IATF16949, VDA 6.3, customer specific audits, etc.)
      • Provide support to Customer Quality Engineers and Sales Team for customer specific requests.
      • Coordinate annual employee-owned gage calibration event.
      • Facilitate & maintain the Layered Process Audit program.
    2. Engineering Change Request (ECR) coordination:

      • Facilitate & maintain Trans-Matic’s engineering change request system through PLEX automated workflows.
      • Support development & updates for core quality planning tools such as: routings, PFMEAs, control plans, bill of materials, etc.
    3. Production Quality Support:

      • Support Quality Engineers (customer, production, supplier) with product containment and disposition activities.
      • Support product quality on the floor by auditing work-in-process, finished goods, and returned product as needed for the plant & receiving inspection.
      • Conduct occasional functional testing to meeting industry specific national standards.
      • Assist with creating PLEX system product deviations and rework process routings

    5. Ability to lead small groups of cross functional teams
    6. Previous experience in a quality role in a manufacturing environment

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:     

    1. Working understanding & experience with IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 automotive standards
    2. ASQC certification as a CQA, CQT, CMI, or CQE
    3. Bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, or equivalent experience in a technical field.
