    SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ARCHITECT

    Under direction the Software Development Architect will perform application support and maintenance, business/workflow analysis, application integration, development, testing, and project management for the ArkITech department (Arktura Information Technology) goal of bringing technology efficiency to Arktura.

    You will perform a wide range of analytical and development duties. This position requires in-depth knowledge of all Arktura business software and the relationships of each department's usage of that software. Positions in this class require an elevated level of discernment, initiative, and experience in executing and managing application development projects that have a focus on business process re-engineering at the departmental / enterprise level. You possess prior application development or support experience including user analysis, developing, coding, implementing, project management with a larger team, and prior analysis experience with departmental requirements, procedures, and programs to advise practical solutions. This position will meet with the Associate Director of Technology on a weekly basis during agile meetings to discuss strategy, roadmap schedule, department goals, and visibility of all development requests for the company. They will also guide Software Developer Leads towards these goals as well as proposing potential areas of technology trends that the department should investigate further.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Write SQL code to support the creation of tables, views, stored procedures, functions, reports, and triggers to identify and improve methods of process automation across every department at the company using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
    • Write C# code to support the ongoing and future business needs through evaluation, thorough analysis, project scheduling, user story creation, development, and testing using ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET, .NET Core, .NET Framework, and HTML/JavaScript in Visual Studio
    • Daily interaction with ERP system users responding to support tickets. Immediate resolution of issues creating obstacles to productivity. Assess and manage user needs for dashboards and reports.
    • Suggest process improvements where inefficient processes or activities may be occurring develop and present solutions to the ERP team members. Train users, as needed, to support a high level of competency across the organization. Maintain and improve upon user training and work instruction documentation through usage of a company knowledge base.
    • Serve as member of internal technology team that is responsible for supporting 100 staff with software expertise to troubleshoot key business software including Rhino 3D, Rhino Grasshopper, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, as well as basic networking assistance
    • Assist in the rollout of new CPQ software and product ruleset development through quick learning of Infor developer software suite and business product configurations

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Fluent in English
    • BS, BA in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, MIS, or relevant degree
    • 5 years minimum experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, C#, Visual Basic, VB, and .NET Framework development
    • Experience with custom-developed software applications in the manufacturing industry a plus
    • Experience with ERP software (Infor CloudSuite Industrial or similar) is a plus
    • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce or similar) is a plus
    • Experience with SCRUM / Agile methodology (Jira, ClickUp) is a plus
    • Experience with GitHub and working with a team on shared dependencies is a plus
    • Experience with 3D / Design / Construction software (Rhino, AutoCAD, Solidworks) is a plus
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently High attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization skills
