Arlington Forest Club is a member-owned pool + tennis club with 675 members. Located in Arlington Virginia, we are looking for a full-time seasonal General Manager to oversee club operations and supervise the lifeguard staff. The ideal candidate is engaging and energetic, possesses proven management and coaching abilities, and delivers excellent customer service. Aquatics experience is a must, and incumbent will hold (or be able to acquire prior to the 2023 opening) current lifeguarding and pool operator certificates. This position is outdoors and requires ability to tolerate hot weather. This is a seasonal position, and candidate must be available from April through September to oversee club opening, campus operations, pool cleaning, swim + dive season, special events, and club closing. Hours may be as early as 6am to as late as 11pm. The General Manager is also on call during the season in case of emergency (e.g., break-in or equipment failure). Typical daily schedule will be from 6am to 2pm or 2pm to 10pm. Pool opens mid-May and closes mid-September. Salary is $40,000 negotiable.
