    Job Description

    Armstrong Flooring is seeking a Manufacturing Training Coordinator. This role will lead, support and manage manufacturing training systems for Armstrong Flooring. You will be responsible for the successful implementation of an AFI Training and Certification System and will be responsible for achieving training targets and goals. This position will be reporting to the Director Maintenance and Reliability.

    LOCATION: 1067 Dillerville Road, Lancaster, PA 17603 SALARY: $72K - $95K, based on experience (Gr. 9/10/11)

    HOW YOULL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM:

    • Work with Production, Maintenance, Quality and Distribution management on implementing training related initiatives.
    • Leads internal training audits to ensure training requirements are followed.
    • Develops and facilitates training and development, learning initiatives, and training recommendations for specific disciplines and/or locations.
    • When necessary and applicable, partners with cross-functional teams to update JSAs/SOPs to the latest revisions as approved by engineering / process owners.
    • Work with management to determine training needs and determines subsequent training and development priorities
    • Participates in the implementation of a management system, to track training, assign training, coordinate training and create training reports
    • Promotes continuous improvement and innovation of all training programs and initiatives
    • Participate in the development of product, line, and location specific new hire training programs for associates focused on Safety, Quality and Process critical areas to ensure onboarding success.
    • Responsible for supporting the State Grant application processes
    • Collaborates with plant operations team to assess developmental needs and identify and design relevant learning approaches and solutions.
    • Travel 25-30%

    REQUIREMENTS

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

    • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience or demonstrated proficiency performing similar duties/responsibilities
    • Experience in providing on-the-job training with manufacturing personnel
    • Experience in providing classroom training
    • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies

    • Understanding in adult learning principles, instructional design, or education
    • Training Within Industry (TWI) Certification or Experience
    • Experience utilizing outside training options
    • Experienced in using a Learning Management System (LMS)
