Job Description

We are looking for a Teradata / Oracle / Snowflake Developer to join our retail sportswear client's team! This person should be highly skilled in Teradata, Oracle and be interested in learning Snowflake’s data warehouse solution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•   Evaluate, extract/transform data for analytic purpose within the context of Snowflake and AWS S3 environment. •   Responsible for using Hive and spark for data warehouse applications to maintain large datasets in AWS S3 and decide on engineering tools based on recommendations. •   Contribute to database design and creates critical-path, high-risk, advanced technical designs. •   Design and develop Spark scripts to gather data insights as per business requirements and collaborate with other teams on integration needs/design. •   Facilitate or performs application support, problem solving, and issue resolution. •   Resolve data issues and determine options for issue resolution and risk mitigation. •   Ensure to use components such as SQOOP, HIVE and SPARK for development. •   Use open source tool such as AIRFLOW, GENIE and EMR for the tasks assigned. •   Development and unit testing on Snowflake and AWS ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Teradata
• Strong SQL skills required
• Experience with Oracle required, SAP would be preferred
• Prefer experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse solution
• Programming experience in one or more languages (Java, Javascript, Python, Perl, C++, etc)
• Previous work experience in an Agile team
• Automation experience in testing (unit testing, functional testing, system testing)
