We are looking for a professional with strong organizational, research, and writing skills to fill our open Opportunity Sourcer position in Huntington Beach, CA. This is an ideal position for someone who wants to leverage their research and analytical skills to help their team win! This role requires a superior level of independence, attention to detail, and time management skills. 

THE PURPOSE of this role is to identify and qualify government opportunities for our sales and proposal writers to bid on, increasing our team's velocity to close more deals in a shorter time.

TASKS INVOLVED INCLUDE:

• Identify and utilize a variety of online venues to uncover opportunities at local, state, and federal levels, and with public agencies
• Recognize and anticipate opportunity trends through research and market analysis
• Maintain subscriptions and logins for online tools/venues
• Utilize strong key word searches to source opportunities
• Employ sound judgment to quickly vet an opportunity against qualifying criteria
• Ask relevant questions during Q&A sessions to conduct deeper vetting and reinforce or eliminate interest
• Efficiently hand off opportunities to team of Proposal Writers

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong educational and/or professional background in writing, with a strong preference for experience in government RFPs and RFQs
• 2+ years of experience in a sourcing or research-based role
• Superior written and verbal communication skills with mastery of English language
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, while maintaining strong relationships with writing team
• Previous experience using online venues such as Fragmentary, Prime Bids, BidPrime, etc. a major plus
