POSITION: QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

LOCATION: Huntington Beach, CA

EXPERIENCE: Previous quality control experience is a plus; This position is entry-level and paid training will be provided

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent

TYPE: Full-time; Contract

PAY: $17/hr

HB STAFFING is seeking a QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR to join our awesome team!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Performs any combination of following tasks to inspect components, and parts for conformance to specifications, following blueprints, drawings, and production travelers
• Measures parts for conformance to specified dimensions, using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges
• Measures plated areas for uniformity and thickness, using micrometers or dial indicators
• Examines parts for surface defects, such as chips, scratches, and pinholes, or dark plating areas
• Examines production documents to ensure that all inspecting, and testing steps were performed according to specifications
• Records inspection data, such as type and percent of defects, and rework required
• Performs functional and operational tests, using electronic test equipment, such as Xray, or performs destructive tests to determine adhesion of product or part. May also perform solder test using molten solder
• May inspect parts at random or final product stage
• Has authority to reject plated parts deemed non-conformant
• Has authority to reject incoming material as non-compliant prior to processing

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in order to deliver desired outcomes
• Must be organized with sound judgment, and ability to get things done
• Good oral and written communication skills
