ROLE PURPOSE:

To receive, store and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in material, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to accounting for processing.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
• Open boxes, crates, and other containers.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

At least one year of previous warehouse experience highly preferred but not required

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Must be willing to train on the job
• Must be able to complete daily responsibilities with little to no assistance
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Heavy lifting and use of forklift
• Excellent interpersonal skills, which include, written, verbal and listening.
• Exceptional customer service
• Punctual attendance; Dependable
• Organized, detail, and task oriented.

TYPE: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

PAY RATE: Based on Experience
