    JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

    The Training Specialist position is responsible for maintaining the Learning Management System (LMS) database, certification programs, and class logistics. Creates and facilitates technical and operational training content in various multi-media delivery formats across multiple disciplines. Trains LMS users internally and externally, and reports user compliance.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

    LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS)

    • Administration of LMS platform:
      • Create organization and user profiles, input course information, assign required learning, process student course enrollment, and monitor learner transcripts
      • New dealer enrollment
      • Track registration, course completions and past due training through reporting for compliance with training policies
      • Troubleshoot software disparities with LMS users and software developers
    • LMS routine audits for data reporting accuracy
    • Manage training and certification programs including Service Technician and Master Trainer learning paths
    • Coordinate and maintain training schedules
    • Develop and maintain monthly training operations reports and customer data tracking

     

    TRAINING AND LEARNING DEVELOPMENT

    • Training and certification program management: Research, evaluate and manage implementation, rollouts and updates of new and existing programs, prior to measuring and deploying incremental improvement iterations for distributors, dealers and employees.
    • Create and facilitate ongoing LMS training of customer LMS administrators and users
    • Coordinate onsite meetings and instructor led training events including meeting coordination, scheduling, and all material preparation and event requirements as assigned.
    • Develop and continuously improve training materials based on training data analysis and customer feedback
    • Prepare and submit training invoices for instructor led and web based training activities
    • Create financial billing and receiving reports for revenue, class fees, and delinquencies
    • Create and maintain eLearning training courses, informational videos and other training media as needed for Kubota Engine Academy.
    • Develop and administer additional training and learning materials as requested by Training Manager
    • Able to create eLearning and video based content.
    • Maintain an organized and secure work environment
    • Support co-workers in other departments as needed
    • Inform Manager of all noteworthy activities
    • Follow safety guidelines and department and corporate policies and procedures

    • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time, possibly overnight: travel internationally
    • Photography and video experience

    • Ability to define problems, collect data, identify trends and establish facts
    • Advanced knowledge of word processing with Microsoft Word, presentation applications including Google Slides and MS PowerPoint, eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise, and spreadsheet applications, including Google Sheets and MS Excel
    • Fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal, preferred

     

    EDUCATION AND TRAINING

    • Bachelor’s degree in Adult Learning Theory or Instructional Design required or 2-5 years of LMS/Training and Content Creation experience in industrial products

    • Sitting for long periods of time with some walking, stooping, bending, and reaching
    • Frequent pushing and pulling of objects

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • Work is performed in an office or learning lab environment. Noise level is moderate
    • Exposure to engine testing labs. Noise level ranges from moderate to very loud
    • Limited exposure to the warehouse. Limited exposure to temperature variations when shipping doors are open
    • Regular exposure to vibration, fumes, gases, and proximity to moving mechanical parts
    • Handling of potentially dangerous chemicals or other substances, dangerous equipment, and tools
    • Work produced is subject to precise measures of quality and quantity
    • While traveling, will experience noise and comfort levels common to automobiles and airplanes

     

    TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

    • Computer and other general office equipment
    • Eye and ear protection required while working on engines
    • Steel toed shoes are required at all times
