    Artemesia is a women's clothing company based in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Our mission is to create a lifestyle collection of wardrobe pieces with timeless, elevated, laid back style for everyday living using natural fibers with a focus on sustainability and heirloom quality. We design and manufacture our clothing and accessories in Massachusetts. Our retail concept is based around the Artemesia brand, while additionally offering a collection of thoughtfully curated apothecary items, accessories, jewelry and home goods.

    We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to engage with our customers and communicate our brand message via our retail stores. This individual is organized, enjoys working with people, and has an interest in style. The Retail Sales Associate is someone who has effective communication skills and is able to follow directions closely, assist with customers, and is timely and dependable.     Job Duties:

    Store Maintenance

    • Opening and closing the store.
    • Receiving new inventory. Steaming new garments and putting them in the store.
    • Organizing backstock inventory.
    • Replacing items on the floor from backstock, steaming before putting on racks.
    • Pulling merchandise for online orders.
    • Light cleaning/dusting to keep the store looking neat and tidy.
    • Additional daily tasks might include watering the plants, cleaning the mirrors, changing the mannequins, etc.
    • Assembling extra Artemesia tags.
    • Keeping an eye out for any damaged products and pulling them from the floor.
    • Keeping up with a daily log book of events from your shift, with the goal of communicating with other associates about store activities.
    • Using Slack to communicate with store manager on additional daily tasks.

    Customer Service

    • Using the Shopify point of sale system to ring up sales.
    • Using the Shopify point of sale system to locate merchandise between locations in the event that the customer wants something that is not at the store location.
    • Knowledge of the Artemesia brand and ability to communicate brand values to customers.
    • Having familiarity with the clothes, sizing, colors, materials, and knowing what to recommend for different body types, different needs, customer requests.
    • Answering the phone and helping with customer questions, or directing the caller to the Artemesia Offices for further assistance.
